You can become a YESS Person by contributing to the organization’s continued viability. Below is a partial list of needs that you can help provide. YESS is a 501-c-3 non-profit organization. All donations and contributions are tax deductible to the full extent of the law. YESS handles all paperwork and provides required receipts and documentation.

Contributions

Students are not charged for participating in YESS programs. The organization must rely upon cash contributions and grants to cover these costs. Your cash contribution is tax deductible.

Donations

YESS welcomes all types of donations including boats, automobiles, equipment, real estate, etc. Items that cannot be directly used in YESS programs are sold and converted into cash that is applied toward the cost of student program activities. Your donation is tax deductible.

Recognition

YESS gives recognition for six categories of support:

SILVER         Up to $999
GOLD             $1,000 - $4,999
PEARL           $5,000 - $9,999
SAPPHIRE    $10,000 - $14,999
EMERALD     $15,000 - $19,999
DIAMOND     Over $20,000

Equipment

Various types of equipment are needed for YESS program activities. Examples include computers and accessories, pickup truck, fishing rods/reels/tackle, binoculars and fieldtrip equipment. Your equipment donation is tax deductible.

Supplies

Expendable supplies are needed to support all student activities including photo paper, printer ink, binders, food, give-away incentives and software. Your donation of supplies is tax deductible.

Services

It is helpful when skilled technicians, artisans and service providers volunteer their expertise in keeping program equipment in good condition. Examples of needed donated services include:

• Dock space
• Boat maintenance & repair
• Printing services
• Curriculum development
• Desktop publishing
• Fund raising

Volunteers

Volunteers play a very important role in all YESS programs. Volunteers who work directly with YESS students are required to have a criminal background record check and undergo periodic urine tests for drugs. YESS handles all necessary paperwork.
